For Nekoosa is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to preserving and enhancing the rich traditions of Nekoosa, WI. We organize and manage beloved events that bring together families, friends, and neighbors to celebrate what makes our city unique. Through the support of local businesses, volunteers, and sponsors, we offer these events free to the public, creating memorable experiences for all.
Our Signature Events
Nekoosa Hometown Christmas Riverside Lights & Santa Visits
November 28th - December 19th, 2026
Celebrate the holiday season with us at the Nekoosa Riverside Lights display and the Santa Visits. Thanks to local sponsors, this event features beautiful lighted motifs, family-friendly activities, and the chance to meet Santa!
Nekoosa Walleye Days
March 21 - April 12th, 2026
A community tradition that celebrates fishing and outdoor fun, Nekoosa Walleye Days brings together locals and visitors for a weekend of activities, food, and fishing competitions.
Midwest Fest
June 20th, 2026
Join us for a free, fun-filled summer picnic featuring live music, food vendors, a dunk tank, rock wall climbing, and a mobile dyno competition. It's a day for the whole family to enjoy – for the people, by the people!
Nekoosa Easter Egg Hunt & 5K Run
April 4th, 2026
Hop into the holiday spirit with our annual Easter Egg Hunt and 5K Run, perfect for families and individuals of all ages.
